Laguna Beach Uncorked - An International Wine & Food Fest, Welcomes 800 Attendees

(Laguna Beach, CA) - Laguna Beach Uncorked! An International Wine & Food Fest, took place on Saturday, March 9, 2013, and brought both food lovers and wine connoisseurs together to experience a unique and intimate celebration of food and wine benefitting CHOC Children's Hospital with a $10,000 contribution. Additionally, wine sales led by Laguna Culinary Arts raised additional funding for CHOC.

Laguna Beach Uncorked welcomed an estimated 800 guests who experienced tastes from 30 wineries from around the world and samplings from 20 Laguna Beach restaurants. All attendees received a commemorative wine glass.

VIP ticketholders experienced a special two-hour wine seminar (sponsored by Rohl) with Master Sommelier Michael A. Jordan, MS, of THE RANCH in Anaheim, early entrance to the tasting event and a Laguna Beach tote bag.

"There was a great turnout and guests were able to taste not only the best cuisine Laguna Beach has to offer, but fine and rare wines from around the globe! "All of the guests seemed very engaged with the restaurants and winemakers throughout the day and many said they were looking forward to attending next year's event," said Karyn Philippsen, Laguna Beach Uncorked Committee Co-Chair. "This event wouldn't have been possible without our dedicated sponsors, participating wineries and restaurants, and the many volunteers."

Laguna Beach Uncorked! is the signature event of Laguna Beach a la Carte - A Food & Wine Experience, that took place in Laguna Beach, March 7-10, 2013. Many Laguna Beach restaurants and hotels held "sold out" winemaker dinners and festive culinary events over this four-day celebration including Broadway by Amar Santana, Hotel Laguna, Las Brisas, Laguna Culinary Arts, The Loft, Studio at Montage Laguna Beach, Snack, Sip, and Surf' at Pacific Edge Hotel, Sustain Local Art & Cuisine by the Sawdust Art Festival, ‘Sunset & Savor: Beer vs. Wine' at Surf & Sand Resort, and a free-flowing gospel and champagne brunch at Tivoli Too.
